    Wink Dive Opportunity's

    All:

First, William asked that I contact someone about this and I have forgotten the name and lost the email - for that I am sorry - too much travel recently - what city am I in today???

Anyway, I have a boat reserved in Chicago for Aug 28 in the afternoon - 2 dives on the Mack, weather permitting, with Capt Jim Gentile. Typical 2 tank dive. Money down holds the spot. Total cost is $115; so $40 will hold it. Give to Jimi at DSI on East side.

Last year we had 70 degree surface water, 70 degree air, and high 50's - low 60's on the bottom with 30-40 ft viz. 1-2 ft swells; a great day to be on the lake, followed by a great deep dish Chicago pizza. After all, diving is 90% social

If you need more info, email me privately hphobbie@ameritech.net or call 317-603-0610.

Second, either contact myself or Jimi to find out when we are doing open water training, you are free to join us at the dive site. Nothing special, just an oppty to dive if you wish. Currently, it appears we will be at France Park May 22-23.

Default should this be moved to ther events sec?

Thanks Preston for the info! William--can u move this to the section talking about upcoming events? while not an IDC sanctioned dive, it is supported by the club. FYI--I have also been told that OW checkouts will be at France Park May 22-23. My class will be doing ours with Dave Gass (our instructor) and Jason Bockelman so feel free to come and keep us company!

    Default Nsr

I was camping and fishing this weekend at Natural Springs Resort. A group from another shop was there. The instructor said they had 20ft viz. When I was on the canoe we could see the runabout so he was probably darn close to right.

Also, water temp was mid 60's - summer is close!!

Windy City Diving; Jim has a relatively comfortable boat. Better than the one we used previous, but not as good,or as big, as the the one we used originally back in 03-04. It is a cat, and rides nice, and he can read his GPS and put us on the wreck quickly. As opposed to circling, and circling to find it like the previous boat did.
